When we connect with others who share the goal of wellness, we can provide each other with the honest input, valuable experience, and encouragement necessary to accomplish our goals. We both receive and give strength and support. We celebrate each other’s successes. We bolster each other during our downtimes. We gain and give wisdom by asking questions, sharing ideas, and seeking advice.

Here is a list of support resources that meet a variety of format, time commitment, and price range needs:

  • Forming a group and using the same book such as a food and fitness journal
  • Signing up with a dedicated diet organization such as Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig

  • Finding a gym or workout buddy to exercise with regularly

  • Working with a life coach
  • Seeking individual or group counseling
